Capacitor Fastening

Artech Stud Welder CD2100

Capacitor discharge fast-cycle stud welding with zero reverse-side surface marking

Capacitance Storage 99,000 µF
Stud Diameter Capacity M3 to M8
Fusion Time 1 - 3 Milliseconds
Welding Rate 20 Studs / Minute
Reverse Side Marking Zero Burn / Zero Distortion

Machine Overview

The Artech CD2100 Stud Welder uses capacitor discharge energy stored in high-capacity banks to weld studs, threaded pins, and standoffs to sheet metals in milliseconds. Because thermal penetration is localized to the micro-layer of the stud, the front/reverse visible side remains entirely free of burn marks, discoloration, or warping.

Key Capabilities

  • Permanent stud attachment without hole drilling, tapping, or reaming.
  • Preserves pre-painted, galvanized, or brushed surface finishes on the reverse side.
  • Consistently high tensile shear strength exceeding parent metal yield.
  • Ideal for mounting internal electronics, PCBs, and cover plates.
